Crown After Care Instructions
Be careful not to bite or bum your lips,cheek or tongue.
- Numbness lasts 3 to 4 hours.
Avoid eating for 1 hour.
- Temporay cement hardens slowly.
If temporaxy crown or bridge comes off or loose;
- We will be happy to replace it.
- Tooth may be sensitive, but not banned.
If bite is high, or crown excessively rough
- Call our dental office.
It is normal for
- The tooth to stay sensitive
- The tooth and crown to be slightly rough.
It is normal for
- The gums to be tender and slightly irritated
- The bite to feel different but not high.
If your gums continue to bleed and stay tender;
- Try rinsing 2 to 3 times a day with warm water (1/2 teaspoon salt in a glass of warm water).
Even though the tooth is tender, cleaning is important.
- Brush lightly, rinse well and be careful with floss.
It is not normal for
- The tooth to throb after the first day, Call us!
Avoid any sticky or chewy foods! Think of your temporary as the bandage it is. Call our dental office number, (281) 482-2631, for any reason or question 24 hours a day. If you are concerned, we are as well.
